The Colgate Country Showdown!

WOW Country 104.3 welcomes the 2008 Colgate Country Showdown! The first competition is July 26th and the second is on August 23rd. The finals will also be on August 23rd.

The 27th Annual Colgate Country Showdown is designed to find the most promising country music talent in America and to give these performers a chance to launch their professional music careers.

The Colgate Country Showdown begins each Spring with over 450 local talent contests sponsored by country music radio stations throughout the US. Winners advance to their respective State competitions held at leading fairs and expositions. Acts then compete for a $1,000 prize, the State Title and the opportunity to advance to one of five Regional Finals.

First competition is July 26th from 5 pm to 9 pm. Maximum 10 performers for this date. No live bands supported for this date. Vocalists only. Top 3 performers will procedd to the fianl local competition on August 23rd.

Second competition is August 23rd from 9am to 2 pm. Bands and vocalist supported, Maximum 15 acts. Top 3 performers will stay and proceed to finals held same day and same location.

Finals are also on August 23rd, from 3pm to complete. Maximum 6 acts for finals. Winner to proceed to regional contest in SLC in September.
